about me

Paulina Bours Gándara is a 23-year-old Mexican painter whose work is deeply rooted in curiosity, sensitivity, and a lifelong passion for creative expression. Currently based in Mexico, Paulina’s artistic journey has been shaped by prestigious international programs, including her selection as one of only twelve participants in Columbia University’s Advanced Painting Intensive in New York City. There, she received personalized mentorship and engaged in rigorous critiques with internationally recognized artists and curators.
Her growing career is marked by notable invitations to exhibit her work in private showcases, including exhibitions in Mexico City and two exclusive distinct shows in New York City. She further honed her technical skills at the Madrid Academy of Art, practicing traditional Renaissance-inspired drawing and painting techniques.
A Law student at the University of Monterrey, Paulina bridges the gap between the creative and the analytical through specialized studies in Art Law at Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and Sociology, Philosophy, and Literature at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her academic background is complemented by contemporary art coursework at Christie’s Education and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Paulina’s deep engagement with the humanities shapes her creative process, allowing her to explore identity and perception through a multidisciplinary lens.
